Merlin Veterinary Group provides first opinion services and 24 hour cover for horses, ponies and donkeys within the large area of our three main practices.
Day to day work varies greatly, from routine vaccinations and dentistry, prepurchase vettings, and lameness evaluations, to more in depth radiography, and ultrasonography of tendons or the pregnant mare. Some of our Vets. also provide veterinary cover for local events, and can be found for example at Scottish Endurance Rides, or local Hunter Trials.
Our main equine Vet., Iain Lathangie, is now able to offer Equine Spinal Therapy Services (formally called Equine Chiropractic Services). He works in the Galashiels area on a Monday, Tuesday and Friday, and Kelso on Wednesday, and Duns on a Thursday. Please ring your closest practice for an appointment with him. We also are introducing new lower visit charges for routine appointments, so ring up and find out about them. We can now also offer to do equine work from our new facility at Potclose in Kelso, so please ring for more details. Watch this space!
