Merlin Veterinary Group provides first opinion services and 24 hour cover for horses, ponies and donkeys within the large area of our three main practices.
Day to day work varies greatly, from routine vaccinations and dentistry, prepurchase vettings, and lameness evaluations, to more in depth radiography, and ultrasonography of tendons or the pregnant mare. Some of our Vets. also provide veterinary cover for local events, and can be found for example at Scottish Endurance Rides, or local Hunter Trials.
Equine Zone Visits - As of 1st Feb our cheaper zone days will be changing round . KELSO zone visit day will be now on a TUESDAY , GALA on a WEDNESDAY and DUNS will remain on THURSDAY! These 'Zone days' have proven very popular and are designed for PRE-BOOKED non- emergency , routine procedures such as flu vaccinations/boosters , dental work , back treatments and non emergency examinations.
Or , if you have your own transport , why not think about booking your horse into our dedicated Equine Clinic at Potsclose, Kelso for any of the above and have NO visit charge at all!
